The 2023 fundraising campaign for the Canmore Public Library’s Endowment Fund is running this November and December and has the theme “Our Community, Our Library”.
A number of Canmore residents have stepped forward to serve as Library Champions for the campaign. Their backgrounds and interests are diverse, but they share a love of the Canmore Public Library.

Moving Mountains is moving towards the end. As we prepare to present a final report on the Initiative, we caught up with Katrina Donald, Moving Mountains’ Developmental Evaluator, to understand what we’ve learned and how we can all continue to learn.
As the principal consultant at ever-so-curious, Katrina Donald believes that listening and sensemaking practices bring us into community, reveal pathways forward, encourage and embolden us, and allow for greater impact. Her approach is relational and developmental; she works in partnership with people and organizations to co-design inclusive, collaborative and relevant evaluation strategies and organizational design.

When a fire broke out at the Lake Louise Charleston staff residence on July 3, 2023, more than 170 people lost almost all their belongings. For many, this was their first job away from home and the uncertainty hit them hard. The Bow Valley community stepped in quickly looking for ways to help. Within a day, the Banff Canmore Foundation activated its Bow Valley Emergency Fund (BVEF), a stand-by fund that’s designed for quick response of financial aid in the Bow Valley.
